I tailor each session to the unique needs of every woman I work with. I look forward to discussing with you what approach or type of bodywork might best help you. Your goals might be rehabbing an injury, easing unpleasant sensations, or finding more peace and ease in your body and mind. All bodywork helps us be more present with the varying and transitory sensations in our body. And being aware of sensation in the body, or being more embodied, is a powerful place to start if you want to be more present in every aspect of your life.

TYPES OF BODYWORK
Table Massage
Client lies down on the massage table, undressed to their level of comfort, and under a sheet (and blanket if necessary) for security and modesty. I use a custom oil blend (usually avocado and sunflower or coconut oil) and possibly essential oils (feel free to ask what I am currently using or tell me if you have any sensitivities, preferences or aversions!) The oil allows for a glide on the tissue which can be especially comforting and relaxing. Many techniques I use in my sessions can be done on the floor or on the table.
Floor Massage
and
Restorative Yoga
Client lies down on a padded mat on the floor. Client remains dressed in comfortable clothing which allows for freedom of movement. No lotion or oils are used. Some stretching and traction techniques are easier to do on the floor because of the ways I can use and position my body. In both floor massage and restorative yoga session I use propping to support the body in therapeutic positions to bring the nervous system into a place of deep relaxation. Techniques from Thai Yoga massage, Shiatsu and specialized techniques I have developed in my years of experience are used.
